The above photos were feedback from the scene. At about 9 p.m. on December 13, 2018, there was a leakage phenomenon on the scene. The site feedback said: caliber: DN500, actual pressure: 0.85Mpa, temperature: 60 degrees. In view of the above photos, our factory made the following reply:

Because the pump end is a fixed foundation and can be regarded as a fixed end, the pipeline will not migrate, so the pipeline axis thrust generated by the blind force will all turn to the other end of the pipeline (non-fixed end), and the pipeline will migrate. When the offset is too large, it is possible for the rubber soft joint to come out of the flange.

When the pump outlet adopts vertical piping, the rubber soft joint installed on the pipeline will expand and push the pipeline upward under the blind plate force caused by water pressure. When the water pressure is too high, the rubber soft joint may be pulled out of the flange.

Generally, when the diameter of the pipe is larger than 150 mm, the pipeline with rubber soft joint needs to be fixed by the pipe bracket to eliminate the blind force caused by water pressure. If the pipeline can not be fixed firmly, it needs to install anti-pull device on the rubber soft joint to eliminate the blind force in the pipeline through the anti-pull limit device.

Simple point is: when the pipeline has water pressure, there is a great thrust inside the pipeline. The thrust inside the pipeline will make the whole pipeline expand, and it will expand even more in the weakest part of the pipeline. That is rubber soft joint, which mainly plays the role of sound insulation and vibration reduction, can not bear the tension of the pipeline. If you want to test the rubber, you need to test the rubber. If the rubber quality of the rubber joint is not good, it will burst from the rubber belly, not from the flange.
