Introduction of Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Station:
Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Station, located in Tangxing Village, Haiwei Town, Changjiang County, Hainan Province, can accommodate the construction of four large-scale nuclear power units with a total investment of nearly 19 billion yuan, which is jointly funded by China Nuclear Industry Group Corporation and China Huaneng Group Corporation. The project will build two nuclear power units, of which Unit 1 is scheduled to be connected to the grid by the end of 2014. The construction of Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Station started on April 25, 2010, which is the largest investment, advanced technology and environmental protection energy construction project in Hainan history.
